FAQ
-
Does my dog need all their vaccinations?Yes please! We require all dogs to be vaccinated as there are many dogs in and out as well as our three. So we make every effort to keep all the dogs safe while in our care.
-
Can I stay with my dog?We don't want pet parents sticking around, here is why. Don't worry, they are in fantastic hands with us! Most of the time dogs will totally relax once their people are out of sight. We also don't want the added distraction of keeping up with conversation and your dog wanting just you. We will call you as soon as your dog is ready for you!
-
Do client dogs and our dogs mix?Not for now. We keep our dogs very entertained and distracted as possible upstairs while your dog is getting pampered downstairs. Repeat client dogs may eventually get play dates with our's once we know the dogs more and know if personalities will jive.
-
Do dogs get treats?YES!! Your pup is having a spa date so of course they get spoiled with treats and have access to water bowls. We do ask when you drop them off if your dog has any allergies. Please also let us know if your dog has a certain allergy and we will not give them any treats containing that product. We appreciate hearing feedback on their favourite treats as well! On the menu we have an assortment of dried, beef, salmon and chicken bites, occasionally sneak in some homemade treats for the fussy pups. We also offer lick mats for the more food driven anxious pups. We believe in that we don't feed our dogs low grade treats so we won't feed your dogs that either.
-
I don't want my curly coated dog shaved. We make every effort to keep owners as happy as their dogs. Unfortunately, sometimes dogs come in with matting that is irreversible. In these cases it is best to shave down the dog for their well being. Severe matting is very uncomfortable and can even lead to health problems. We will call you if we need to shave the dog down and you specifically asked to keep them long. We'll give you some options before we shave your pup down. Most of the time people are incredibly understanding, which is fabulous! We will then give you some recommendations to prevent that from happening again.
-
What if my dog is being aggressive or hates their life?If for whatever reason, we feel like we cannot move ahead with the groom we will immediately call you to come pick up your pup. Some examples would be if the dog is initially or becomes too aggressive that we don't feel comfortable. Or if the dog is overly highly anxious, we don't want to put a dog in that extreme amount of stress for an hour plus. Whatever, we decide it will be for the dog's best interest, ours is second.
-
Can I leave my dog for the day with you?Unfortunately, we are not set up to run a doggie daycare. So, other than leaving your dog with us for longer than an additional hour either way isn't an option sadly. We do offer a dogsitting fee, for an extended drop off or pick up time. Again, no longer than one hour. We have a small pen set up for pups to relax in if the occasion arises.
-
Do I drop off my dog for a nail trim?Short answer is please don't go too far! Nail trims only take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. This is a quick service, either between two spa date appointments or as a walk in, so we don't have the additional time to wait for you to come back. So it's best to either wait in your vehicle, we have some chairs on our front step or a seating area inside. However, more often than not your pup may be a bit more anxious if you are there with them.
-
Why do we have so many options on the booking app?We know there are a lot of different options, with different packages, coat types and sizes. This is mainly to keep the booking system timed accordingly so we don't have an issue with overlapping appointments. We pretty much have each dog by type and size timed out, of course there are always exceptions so we account for that also. All the options, we thought would be a nice touch, so whatever dog grooming service you are looking for we have that option to fit any need at any budget. Because all dogs deserve to be spoiled!
